1) General Operation Fund

This solitication is to provide contributions to support the activities of Chi Epsilon. After the payment of any of the following amounts: $15, $25, $50, $100, or any other amount, you benefit by receiving two copies of the "Chi Epsilon National Newsletter" each year. (See latest issue of the Newsletter on this web page.) Chi Epsilon benefits by:

a)keeping new student members initiation fees to a minimum,

     b)fully supporting all active chapters,

c)helping fund delegate attendance at Conclaves,

d)providing the web site at: www.chi-epsilon.org,

e)helping offset the cost of the National Newsletter.

Although membership in Chi Epsilon is for life (after paying your one-time initiation fee and going through the initiation ceremony), your participation in the solicitation and contribution program allows Chi Epsilon to be more viable, more visible, and more helpful to the students at the chapter level, and to be more helpful to the alumni.

2) Transit Subscriptions

"The Transit" is the official publication of Chi Epsilon. It is printed twice a year, generally in the fall and spring. Among many other things, it contains Chapter Honor Member write-ups, scholarship awardees, and other pertinent national news. A new member of Chi Epsilon receives a three-year subscription (6 issues) as part of the initiation fee which was paid to the local chapter at time of initiation. After 3 years, subscriptions must be renewed in order to continue to receive it. Chi Epsilon would hope that you will want to receive every issue of "The Transit". Subscription fees are $16.00 for 3 years, $25.00 for 5 years, and $100.00 for a life subscription.

3) Scholarship Contributions

Scholarship Contributions are to support the District and National Scholarship program. The National Scholarship program started in 1992. Only the interest from the contribution principal has or will be used to pay the awards. Six deserving Chi Epsilon student members each receive $3000, two in memory of John A. Focht, two in memory of Bro. Austin Berry, one in memory of John L. Brandes, and one in memory of Arthur N.L. Chiu. In addition, there are provided 10 annual $1500 district scholarships. They are presented at the National Conclave in even-numbered years and by mail in odd-numbered years. Please click here to make a contribution to the National Scholarship program. Your money is well spent here (i.e. sent to Chi Epsilon for scholarships). We suggest $20.00 or $50.00 or much more, $100.00 as you feel about it. It is the hope of Chi Epsilon to continue to increase the number of national scholarships that are given and the amount of each scholarship that is given, as the principal of the scholarship fund grows.

NOTE: The "James R. Robbins Excellence in Teaching Award" (2007 winner is Dr. Kye Han, University of Houston, Houston, TX).
