SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
2010-2011
Ten $1,500 District Scholarships (One per District)
Ten $3,000 National Scholarships
Two $3,000 Graduate Fellowship Scholarships to Be Awarded
Applications due to District Councillor on or before November 15, 2010
AWARD CRITERIA
1. Undergraduate students who are enrolled at the time of application and who will
be enrolled at the time of receiving a scholarship are eligible to apply for an
undergraduate scholarship. Initiates who will be members at the time of receiving
a scholarship are eligible to apply. Members who are enrolled as graduate students
can apply only for the graduate fellowships and must be enrolled at the time of
receiving a fellowship.

3. Applicant is eligible for:
(a). The $1,500 Chi Epsilon District Scholarship,
(b). The $3,000 “John A. Focht National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”(2),
(c). The $3,000 “Brother Austin Barry National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”(2),
(d). The $3,000 “Joseph L. Brandes National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”,
(e). The $3,000 “Arthur N.L. Chiu National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”,
(f). The $3,000 “Dexter C. Jameson Chi Epsilon Scholarship”, and
(g). The $3,000 “Olin K. Dart, Jr, National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”
(h). The $3,000 “Eugene Glysson National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”
(i). The $3,000 “Neil J. Rowan National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”.
4. A Graduate Applicant is eligible for: (a) The $3,000 Chi Epsilon Graduate Fellowship
(x2)
5. Applicants will be judged on the following criteria:
- GPA
- University Activities
- Offices held
- Honors and Awards
- Service to Community
- Work/Research experience
- Personal essay
6. Attach:
- Photo (full face/shoulders, suitable for publication only. Not for evaluation purposes).
- Two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from a faculty member
in the applicant’s department.
7. The application must be filled out completely. Please do not attach a resume.
