SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
2009-2010
Ten $1,500 District Scholarships (One per District)
Three $1,000 Honorary Scholarship
Seven $3,000 National Scholarships To Be Awarded
Applications due to District Councillor on or before November 15, 2009
AWARD CRITERIA
1. Undergraduate or Graduate member of Chi
Epsilon, (enrolled at the time of submitting application). (Initiates not
eligible)
2. Refer to PAROP, Article XII, Section E.
3. Applicant is eligible for:
(a). The $1,500 Chi Epsilon District Scholarship,
(b). The $3,000 “John A. Focht National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”(2),
(c). The $3,000 “Brother Austin Barry National Chi Epsilon
Scholarship”(2),
(d). The $3,000 “Joseph L. Brandes National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”,
(e). The $3,000 “Arthur N.L. Chiu National Chi Epsilon Scholarship”,
(f). The $3,000 “Dexter C. Jameson Chi Epsilon Scholarship”, and
(g). The $1,000 Honorary Scholarship
4. Applicants will be judged on the following criteria:
- GPA
- Membership in organization
- Offices held
- Honors, awards or scholarships received
- Outside activities, hobbies
- Work/Research experience
- Personal essay
5. Attach:
- Photo (full face/shoulders, suitable for publication).
- Two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from a faculty member in the applicant’s department.
