Biography
Dr. Gregory D. Reed
National
President and Cumberland
District Councillor
Member #48737, initiated in 1982 at the University
of Tennessee. Dr. Reed was appointed National President at the 2008
National Conclave. He graduated with a BS in mechanical engineering at the
University of Arkansas in 1971. He received an MS in 1973 and a PhD in
1976, both in environmental engineering from the University of Arkansas.
He is presently professor and associate vice chancellor for research at
the University of Tennessee. He joined the faculty of the University of
Tennessee as Assistant Professor in 1981.
Dr. Reed has conducted extensive research in the field of environmental
engineering, and has published more than 60 reports and publications
presenting the research findings. He is a member of ASCE, NSPE, and NCURA.
Also, he has served the university in numerous capacities, including
serving as Faculty Advisor for the Chi Epsilon chapter from 1985 -
2008.
