Biography
Dr. Eugene A. Glysson
Great Lakes District Councillor
and Past President
Member #8223, initiated in 1951 at the University
of Michigan (Chapter #25, installed in 1949). Dr. Glysson was elevated to
Chapter Honor Member in 1986 at Michigan and served as their Faculty
Advisor from 1965-1995. He has served as the Great Lakes District
Councillor since 1982 and was National Marshal from 1982-1984, National
Vice-President from 1986-1990, and President from 1990-1992. Dr. Glysson
is a Life Member of ASCE, AWWA, AAEE, WEF, and Honorary Member of APWA. He
obtained a BSCE at the University of Vermont in 1949, an MS at Michigan in
1951, and a PhD at Drexel in 1972. He was a professor of civil and
environmental engineering at the University of Michigan from 1951-1995 and
is now Professor Emeritus, specializing in Solid Waste Management and
Water and Wastewater Engineering. Dr. Glysson has a wide range of
experience as a teacher, consultant, and researcher in the field of
environmental engineering.
